No, it isn’t the title of Stephen King’s latest thriller/chiller, but it could be. Although frighteningly dangerous, “texting” has become an all too common behavior.
Most of us have already experienced close calls or had accidents involving drivers texting or in some way juggling their mobile phones. Some states have already passed regulations about the practice and those legislatures that haven’t need to wake up and smell the coffee!
Now, in an article published this week, Dr. Joanna Lumdsen an expert in human/computer interaction at Aston University, reports that 1 in 10 mobile phone users have already harmed themselves while walking and texting.
More alarming is her finding related to accidents in the U.K. She reports that in London, two teenage pedestrians are injured or killed every day as result of using mobile pones while walking, she said. To read the article go to:
